The Greatest Show on Earth

The neighborhood I lived in, in Greensboro was what is called transitional. On my block there were many people whom had grown up right there. The man that lived across the street had grown up in the house I was renting. Anyway, I'm telling you this because they kept a very good watch on the block. In fact they watched everything. I mean everything you did outside. Every time I did something in my front yard I felt like someone was watching me. Sometimes I would turn around and see someone behind a black screen door or a curtain move shut. I thought I was just being paranoid until my wife came in from doing some gardening and said "Do you ever feel like someone's watching you out there?"

Well do ya? I built my fans bleachers so they could watch all the excitement. My favorites are the group to the right of me. They are from a picture of some teenage girls watching the Beatles. I put a few more notables in the crowd. It was fun to paint.

I made this one right after He's just pickin' . Notice how I carried over the lawn darts?
