Jesus Led From the Schools

This is a statement about prayer in schools. In the last several years we as a country have been introduced to a number of violent episodes in our public schools. Many people have formed the opinion that these incidents are a direct result of the lack of any religion in the school system. Many private Christian schools have emerged in the guise of better education. Don't get me wrong, religion can be very good, but religion does not make a person more intelligent. If these private schools are giving a better education it is probably because of the structure of their system. Neither does religion teach behavioral discipline, If you don't believe this, observe a child, whom attends one of these schools, outside of that environment. In Catholic schools it was not the religion that kept the youth in line, it was the ruler and the paddle.

All of these people who want to make prayer in schools are missing the mark. No one can dictate when or where you pray. Prayer takes place in the heart. If you need to make a show of it, you are a hypocrite. "If you want to pray, go to a room by yourself and pray. "Don't be like the hypocrites..." If you or your brat are so devout, then perhaps instead of blowing bubbles in science class they could be into some silent prayer.

In the image, Jesus is being marched down the street at gunpoint. Taken out in public for all to see. The march is led by none other than Madeline Murray O'Hare. The self-proclaimed atheist and catalyst for the removal of prayer in public schools.
